A mother at Amber's school saw Amber doing flips on the playground and suggested that she should be enrolled in gymnastics. Amber starts taking gymnastics classes at the age of six at Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta in Kennesaw, GA. She was the 2015 Level 5 GA State All-Around, Vault and Floor Exercise Champion and 2016 Level 8 Regional Uneven Bars Bronze Medalist. As a level 9 gymnast in 2017, Amber placed fifth in the all-around and third on floor exercise at the Region 8 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals.

In the summer of 2017, Amber moved to Everest Gymnastics in Huntersville, NC to pursue elite path. She finished second in the all-around at the State Championships and sixth in the all-around and first on balance beam at the Region 8 Championships. Amber qualified to the Level 10 National where she scored a 37.175 in the all-around. In the summer of 2018, Amber qualified to HOPES pre-elite. She competed at the HOPES Championships where she placed third in the all-around and second on uneven bars in the 12-13 age group.

In December of 2018, Amber obtained junior elite compulsory score at the Myrtle Elite Qualifier. After a great performance at the Greensboro Invitational, Amber qualified to the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup where she placed third on balance beam in the junior division. One week after Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup, Amber passed junior elite optional score with a 51.300 at the KPAC Elite Qualifier. At the Region 8 Championships, Amber placed second on uneven bars and sixth overall. She qualified to the Level 10 Nationals, finishing in the top ten on uneven bars. In the summer, Amber competed at the GK Classic in the junior elite division and was invited to be part of Junior World Championships Trials. Amber was invited to a quarterly USA Development Camp in 2018 and 2019.

Amber qualified to the 2020 Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury and COVID-19 pandemic. Amber and her family moved back to Georgia during that time. Amber began training at Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics in Marietta, GA. In 2021, Amber qualified to Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup for the second time, finishing fifth on floor exercise and sixth on balance beam in the senior division. She grabbed gold medals on floor exercise and in the all-around at the State Championships with a 38.325. She qualified the Level 10 Nationals after finishing third in the all-around at the Region 8 Championships. In 2022, Amber placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.500 and third on balance beam at the Region 8 Championships and qualified to the Level 10 Nationals.

When Amber isn't busy training 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys reading, listening to music and spending time with her family. She is the daughter to Alisia Newberry-Lowe and Adrian Lowe, Sr. and she has two sisters, Ashley and Autumn and a brother, AJ. Currently, Amber is an honor student at Allatoona High School and she will graduate in 2023.
