Kylie Rae Dickson was born on February 12, 1999 in Columbus, GA. She is the youngest of three children to Steve and Stacey Dickson and she has two older brothers, Chase and Chance. During Kylie's spare time, she enjoys water skiing and jet skiing.


Kylie was spotted by a coach at a friend's birthday party and the coach suggested that Kylie should try gymnastics at Jubilee Gymnastics. Kylie moved with her coach Karen Roach to Bay City Gymnastics after her level 5 season in 2009. Kylie began training at Planet Gymnastics in Mobile, AL with Vladimir and Joanne Novikov after the 2009 season. While at Planet, she did supplemental training on vault and uneven bars with Vladimir Novikov's coach Vladimir Ufimstev at Planet Gymnastics in Hattiesburg, MS.

In 2010, Kylie competed level 7 where she placed fifth in the all-around and fifth on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing 13th in the all-around and fifth on floor exercise. Kylie quickly moved up to level 8 for the 2011 season. At the State Championships, she finished second in the all-around and grabbed gold medals on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she finished 14th in the all-around in a very tough group of competitors.

Kylie won the all-around title at the 2012 Level 9 State Championships along with a gold medal on vault, a silver medal on uneven bars and bronze medals on balance beam and floor exercise. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished fourth in the all-around and second on balance beam, qualifying to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals. At the Nationals in Landover, MD, Kylie finished 14th in the all-around, fifth on floor exercise and eighth on vault.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2013, Kylie placed fourth in the all-around and second on vault at the State Championships. She finished third in the all-around and first on vault at the Region 8 Championships. Kylie qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Minneapolis, MN where she placed eighth on vault out of 56 gymnasts. In 2014, Kylie grabbed gold medals on vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around and first on vault and uneven bars. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals for the second time in Jackson, MS where she placed 14th in the all-around and earned a silver medal on vault.


Kylie moved to California to pursue her goal of elite with Artur Akopyan and Galina Marinova at All Olympia Gymnastics Center (AOGC). Kylie competed in level 10 at the beginning of the 2015 season, winning uneven bars title at the State Championships and vault and uneven bars titles at the Region 1 Championships. Kylie obtained senior international elite status at the AOGC Elite Qualifier and Texas Elite Qualifier.
